This game is from ID, the creators of DOOM. It is very similar in its gameplay and its 3D appearance.
INSTALLATION
To install HERETIC, press [Continue] below, then choose a destination. The default is C:\HERETIC, but you can select any drive and directory.
SYSTEM REQUIREMENTS
HERETIC requires an IBM compatible 486 or better with 4 megs of RAM, a VGA graphics card, and a hard disk drive. A Sound Blaster Pro(TM) or 100% compatible sound card is recommended. A network that uses the IPX protocol is required for network gameplay. The installation requires 7MB of harddisk space.
RUNNING THE PROGRAM
HERETIC is a DOS game and must only be run from the DOS prompt. If you have chosen the default directory, type CD\HERETIC [ENTER] HERETIC [ENTER] at the C: prompt. If you use a SoundBlaster card for sound and you can configure this by typing SETUP <ENTER> from the HERETIC directory prompt.
Additional information is avaialable from the HERETIC.TXT and the HERETIC2.TXT file installed in the program directory.
