  60. Juke v3.4 - The one player for all media types.
  61.  
  62. If you're looking for a simple, yet full featured program to
  63. play all your music, sound and video files and also music CDs,
  64. you have just found it: Juke.
  65.  
  66. Juke lets you create playlists or albums intuitively by drag and
  67. drop with the Explorer. You can even drag directories onto Juke
  68. and Juke will add all supported media files from these direc-
  69. tories to the playlist. Also organzing items within the playlist
  70. is as easy as drag and drop. Of cause, you can save playlist
  71. into files for later use. Or you may send them via e-mail to a
  72. friend. This is very useful if your media files are accessible
  73. via a company or campus wide network.

  75. Did you ever become annoyed by CD-Players that forced you to
  76. enter the titles of your CDs over and over again, because they
  77. all use their native database? Not so with Juke. Juke simply
  78. shares the CD database of the Windows CD-Player and its editor
  79. is even more convenient.

  81. Do you want to hear background music everytime you work at the
  82. PC? That's what Juke is intended for. Simply add all your sound
  83. files to the Juke playlist and add Juke to the "Startup"
  84. program group. That's all. At Windows startup Juke will auto-
  85. matically pick up from the playlist item where it left off when
  86. you shut it down. And it won't annoy you with any user inter-
  87. face. When minimized, only a small icon in the system tray will
  88. remind you of its presence.

  90. Juke features native support for MPEG audio files (MP2 and MP3),
  91. Amiga modules (MOD, S3M, XM etc.) and all MCI compatible media
  92. files that are supported by Windows drivers, like WAV, MID, RMI
  93. and AVI. It it is compatible with all kinds of compressed audio
  94. and video and it is open for additional formats, like MPG, AU,
  95. SND, AIF and many more that will be installed by Microsoft
  96. ActiveMovie, DirectSound or Internet Explorer. Third party
  97. drivers are available for FLI, MOV, JPG and other media types.

  113. Juke will run on any computer running Microsoft Windows 95. A
  114. Windows compatible sound card is recommended.

  116. Juke is multi-lingual. Currently, support for English and German
  117. language is available. Juke will examine your system preferences
  118. and automatically show up in the language of your choice. A
  119. Unicode version is available for use with Microsoft Windows NT.

  121. Juke is distributed as freeware. That means, you may use it any
  122. time and for any purpose, provided you do not try to debug or
  123. modify it. You may also copy the program as you like. You have
  124. permission to add it to any freeware or shareware collection.
  125. However, you must not sell Juke. If you plan to use Juke for
  126. commercial purposes, e.g. for operation a radio station, or if
  127. you add it to a CD-ROM, please inform the author.
