The information that I have on the Elgar indicates that the signals needed for
the UPS monitoring is provided VIA an RS232 connection, which is connect to a
"Black box" (which is probably the $250 cable) which converts the RS232 to
relay closures for the SFT II UPS monitoring. I have the pinouts of the Elgar
but the discription of the pins have a lot of initials, which I don't know what
they mean. I only have some of the pin discriptions, but it should be enough
to help you out.
RS232 (Elgar)
1 ---- (-) DC
2 ---- (+) DC
14 ---- (+) 15 vdc
15 ---- TP-6
7 ---- Ref.
4 ---- INV S/D
22 ---- F/S
I don't know what each pin controls, but all you need is the A/C fail, and
Battery Low indicators. Do you need the plug connector (3.5mm stereo phone
plug) specs??? <see below>

On the RCA jack:
Ring = Ground
TIP = UPS On-Line
Inner= Low Battery
the I/O address in the book (for config file) should be 346 not 340....
