  12.         SYMPTOM:  The + (PLUS) character does not print when contained
  13.         within a print job that is printed through the LAN workstation.

  15. ISSUE/PROBLEM
  16. The "+" character was omitted from the workstation's EBCIDIC to ASCII
  17. translation table.  
  18.  
  19. SOLUTION
  20. Below are instructions which describe how to modify the table to include
  21. the + (plus) character.
  22.  
  23. WSCONFIG <ENTER>  (or applicable file name)
  24. Select Edit or Create <ENTER>
  25. Select Logical Units <ENTER>
  26. Use arrow keys or type the LU Number (1-9) which will contain the printer. 
  27. Arrow to the printer the LU will emulate <ENTER>
  28. Arrow down to Configure PC Printer <ENTER>
  29. Arrow down to EBCIDIC to ASCII <ENTER>
  30. Move cursor to EBCIDIC code 4E, which displays in upper right corner of the
  31. table. <ENTER>
  32. Move cursor to ASCII code 2B, which displays in upper right corner of
  33. table. <ENTER>
  34. Note the + (plus) symbol in field 4E.
  35. Escape out and save configuration.

  37. Use this newly configured control program for your printer.
