AVAILABLE OPTIONS HELP
Position the highlight bar on the option that you want and then press the SELECT key. If you are finished using the message librarian then press the ESCAPE key. To get a list of the specific key assignments on your machine, press the HELP key a second time.
A brief description of each of the options follows on the next two pages. Use the PAGE DOWN key to advance to the next page.

AVAILABLE OPTIONS HELP
CREATE NEW MESSAGE LIBRARY
This option will allow you to create a new message
library.
EDIT EXISTING MESSAGE LIBRARY
This option will allow you to view and modify an
existing message library.
EXPORT SYSTEM MESSAGE LIBRARY
This option will write the system message library to
program type message files.

IMPORT SYSTEM MESSAGE LIBRARY
This option will convert program type message files
to system type message files.
PRINT EXISTING MESSAGE LIBRARY
This option will allow you to print all the messages
from an existing message library to a file that you
specify.

MESSAGE LIBRARY TYPE HELP
Select the type of message library that you want to edit. Select PROGRAM to create/edit messages which are unique to a particular program, or select SYSTEM to edit the system messages used by all programs. When you have positioned the highlight bar on the entry you want, press the SELECT key.

MESSAGE LIBRARY NAME HELP
Enter the name of the message library that you want to edit and then press the SELECT key. The message library name can be up to 8 characters in length and should not have an extension. If the message library is not in the current directory, the path to reach the message library must also be included.
To get a list of all the message libraries in the current directroy, press the INSERT key.

EXISTING LIBRARIES HELP
This is a list of message libraries in the current directory. To select a message library from this list, position the highlight bar on the message library's name and press the SELECT key. If you do not want to select one of these message libraries then press the ESCAPE key.

SELECT MESSAGE HELP
This list shows messages that are defined in the selected message library. You can use the following keys to add, delete and modify these messages.
INSERT - Add a new message to the message library.
DELETE - Delete a message from the message library, or if several
messages have been marked using the MARK key, delete all the
marked messages from the message library.
SELECT - Select highlighted message name.
ESCAPE - Exit the current message library file allowing you to save
any changes.

SELECT MESSAGE HELP
MODIFY - Change the name by which a message is
referenced in the C code.
MARK - Mark the currently highlighted message, or if
the message is already marked, unmark it.
CANCEL - Unmark all currently marked messages.

NEW MESSAGE NAME HELP
Type in the name which will be used to reference this message in the C program, then press the SELECT key. If you do not want to add a new message then press the ESCAPE key.

MESSAGE TEXT HELP
Enter the text that you want to be displayed on the screen when this message is accessed, then press the SELECT key. If you do not want to edit this message then press the ESCAPE key.

MESSAGE TEXT HELP
ESCAPE - Save any message text changes.
CANCEL - Cancel any message text changes.
INSERT - Copy paste buffer into current cursor position.
DELETE - Cut market text and copy into paste buffer.
SELECT - Advance cursor to next line.
MARK - Toggle marking of text.
DELETE MESSAGE HELP
If you want to delete the highlighted messages then answer YES, otherwise answer NO or press the ESCAPE key.
If you have marked several messages using the MARK key, they will all be deleted if you answer YES.

SAVE MESSAGE LIBRARY HELP
If you want to save the changes you have made to the message library then answer YES. If you do not want to save the changes you have made then answer NO. If you are not finished editing this message library then press the ESCAPE key.

MESSAGE LIBRARY NAME HELP
Enter the name by which you want to save the message library, and then press the SELECT key. The message library name should be 8 characters or less, and should not include a file extension. If the message library is to be saved in another directory, you must also specify the path to reach the directory.

CONFIRM OVERWRITE HELP
A message library by the selected name already exists. If you want to overwrite the existing message library then answer YES. If you do not want to overwrite the existing library then answer NO or press the ESCAPE key.

THROW AWAY CHANGES HELP
The message library has been modified. If you do not want to save the changes that have been made then answer YES. If you do want to save the changes, then answer NO or press the ESCAPE key.
If you answer YES, all the changes that you have made will be lost.

EXIT MESSAGE LIBRARIAN HELP
If you have finished using the message librarian and saved all of your changes then answer YES, otherwise answer NO or press the ESCAPE key.
If you have made any changes and not saved them, the changes will be lost if you answer YES.

PRINT FILE HELP
Enter the name of the file where the messages should be output, then press SELECT. The file name can be up to 8 characters followed by a period and a 3 character extension.
