  16. This patch corrects the failure of a NetWare 2.2 non-dedicated router.  If
  17. the ROUTER.EXE is larger than 256K, the load image is not recognized
  18. causing the router to fail.  The patch allows the load image to be up to
  19. 512K.

  40.                    README FOR ROUTESZ.EXE
  41. This readme file accompanies ROUTESZ.FIX for Netware v2.2 non-dedicated
  42. routers.

  44. Purpose:
  45. This patch corrects the failure of a v2.2 NON-DEDICATED router.  If the
  46. ROUTER.EXE is larger than 256K,  the load image is not recognized.  This
  47. patch allows the load image to be up to 512K.
  48.  
  49. NOTE ** This problem does not occur with dedicated real mode and dedicated
  50. protected mode routers.

  52. INSTALLATION
  53.  
  54. 1) Make a backup copy of the existing NPROUTER.OBJ.
  55.  
  56. 2) From the 2.2 ROUTEGEN directory, either on hard drive or floppy, run the
  57. ZAPOBJ utility with the following parameters:

  59.     ZAPOBJ NPROUTER.OBJ NEWNPRT.OBJ ROUTESZ.FIX > REPORT.TXT
  60.  
  61. 3) If ZAPOBJ is successful, replace your original .OBJ with the updated one
  62. just created (newnprt.obj) and execute ROUTEGEN.  Link and configure the
  63. router and copy it to your hard drive.  This procedure will complete your
  64. installation.
