ISSUE:
SYMPTOM
If a NDIS Driver fails to open, the redirector would blue
screen. The syncronization was not correct between the
open callback and the main initialization thread.
SOLUTION
Apply VMLID.SYS, 19232 bytes, 7-27-95.
SYMPTOM
Some applications would fail to run. Structure changes
in NT between versions 3.5 vs 3.51 required some
changes to IPX.
SOLUTION
Apply IPXSPX.SYS, 56864 bytes, 7-27-95.
Apply IPXAPI.SYS, 6912 bytes, 7-27-95.
SYMPTOM
Pending on workstation configuration, if NWIP (NetWare/IP)
is installed the workstation will trap or blue screen at boot
time.
SOLUTION
Apply NWIP.SYS, 26144 bytes, 8-25-95.
SYMPTOM
When accessing a shared FoxPro database,
if you edit the memo field and try to
save it the following error is returned:
"Not enough disk space"
SOLUTION
Apply NWFS.SYS, 167136 bytes, 9-14-95.
SYMPTOM
If using a country code in a Directory Service context, when
NT boots it asks for a password, the NetWare login fails and
when the password is re-entered in the NetWare dialog, this
fails because of improper context. If typeful naming is used
in the context then login is successful.
SOLUTION
Apply NWAPI32.DLL, 38400 bytes, 9-11-95.
SYMPTOM
When running some 32 & 16 bit Windows applications, some
network drives are not displayed properly.
SOLUTION
Apply NWFS.SYS, 167104 bytes, 7-27-95.
Apply SUPWIN32.DLL, 17920 bytes, 8-22-95.
SYMPTOM
When attaching and logging into a NetWare 3.11 server using
an NDIS LAN driver, any attempts to access the directory
structure on that 3.11 server from File Manager generates
the error messages "Invalid handle" or "Error reading files."
This can also happen using an ODI driver, but it is much
less likely.
SYMPTOM
The Novell Redirector fails to start after reboot. The
following error message was logged in the Even Viewer:
"Cannot bind to MLID with specified parameters. Using
default parameters."
SOLUTION
Apply IPXSPX.SYS, 56864 bytes, 7-13-95.
Apply NWFS.SYS, 165632 bytes, 7-12-95.
Apply VMLID.SYS, 19200 bytes, 7-12-95.
SYMPTOM
NE3200 ODI lan driver will not load or allow connection to the
network.
The following error is in the event log:
MSMGetPoolSupportLevel is unresolved
SOLUTION
Apply NE3200.LAN, 14,412 bytes,12-08-94
