  18. This file is for NetWare for SAA 1.3B installations.  This file contains
  19. NetSoft Router V4.02, a Windows AS/400 Router, for use with certain emulators
  20. and applications that support the EHNAPPC.DLL API in the extended version of
  21. IBM's AS/400 PC Support.

  33. Wall Data's AS/400 connectivity products, such as RUMBA for the AS/400, RUMBA
  34. OFFICE, and RUMBA for NetWare Systems, will support the NS/Router no later
  35. than September, 1994.
  36.  
  37. SOLUTION
  38.  
  39. Novell recommends that you use the NetWare AS/400 Router that is part of the
  40. NetWare for SAA product instead of the NS/Router if you meet one of the
  41. following configurations:
  42.  
  43. -    You are using a DOS workstation for AS/400 connectivity.
  44.  
  45. -    You are using an emulator or application that is not listed below.
  46.  
  47. -    You use the DOS or extended DOS version of IBM's AS/400 PC Support
  48. workstation, shared folders, file transfer, virtual printer, organizer,
  49. message, data queues, or submit remote command functions.
  50.  
  51. The NS/Router, a Windows-based program, does not support these DOS based PC
  52. Support client TSRs and programs.
  53.  
  54. The NS/Router must be used with one of the following Emulators or
  55. Applications:
  56.

  58. -    5250 Elite (APPC) V3.0 or later from Andrew Corporation
  59. -    Extra! for the AS/400 V2.0 or later from Attachmate Corporation (future
  60. release)
  61. -    Irma/400 for Windows V2.0 or later from DCA
  62. -    Access for Windows V3.21 or later from Eicon Technology Inc.
  63. -    5250 SAA for Windows V1.35 or later from Micro Integration
  64. -    NS/Midrange Client V3.01 or later from NetSoft
  65. -    WinTwin/400 V1.35 or later from Synapse

  127. Installation Instructions:

  129. 1. Create a directory called DISK1.
  130.  
  131. 2. Unzip NSROUT.EXE into the DISK1 directory.
  132.  
  133. 3. Copy the new AS400PCS.NLM to SYS:SYSTEM on the server.
  134.  
  135. 4. Bring down your server.
  136.  
  137. 5. Bring the server back up.
  138.  
  139. 6. Use the File:Run option of the Windows Program Manager to install
  140. NS/Router.
  141.  
  142. 7. You will be using the NS/Router on an IPX/SPX based network  or a TCP/IP
  143. based network.
  144.  
  145. ---a. If an IPX/SPX based network, read and follow the instructions in
  146. IPX.TXT.
  147.  
  148. ---b. If an TCP/IP based network, read and follow the instructions in TCP.TXT.

  156. 1. The information contained in the three .TXT files, of NSROUT.EXE may not be
  157. in your manual; however, the functions or capabilities do exist in this
  158. software version of NS/Router.  You should keep a copy of these .TXT files
  159. with your manual.

  161. 2. When running the NS/Router, you can press the Help button to display
  162. contact-sensitive help information.

  164. 3. If you encounter problems when using the NS/Router, contact NetSoft at

  168. 1-800-NETWARE.
