  2. IMPORTANT NOTE:

  5.       Do NOT install NetWare SNMP Services v3.0 onto a system on which
  6.       NetWare 4.1 or NetWare MultiProtocol Router has been installed.
  7.  
  8.       NetWare 4.1 and NetWare MultiProtocol Router have already installed
  9.       later versions of the NLMs included in NetWare SNMP Services v3.0.
  10.       These later NLMs should not be overwritten.

  14. Instructions for installing NetWare SNMP Services v3.0 from a floppy drive.
  15. (Installation from the NetWare partition follows.)

  19.  1. Insert the NetWare SNMP Services v3.0 diskette in the floppy diskette
  20.     drive.
  21.  
  22.  2. From the server console, type the following command:
  23.  
  24.     LOAD INSTALL <Enter>
  25.  
  26.  3. At the Install NLM screen, select Product Options (you'll first need
  27.     select Maintenance/Selective Install on 4.0x).
  28.  
  29.  4. Press <Insert> to add a new product.
  30.  
  31.  5. Give the path to the diskette drive containing the floppy and press
  32.     <Enter>.
  33.  
  34.  6. Select "Install on the Local Server Only" and press <Enter>.
  35.  
  36.  7. When installation is complete, Press <Esc> to get back to the Main menu.

  38.  8. Select System Options.
  39.  
  40.  9. Select Edit AUTOEXEC.NCF File.
  41.  
  42. 10. Add the following line to AUTOEXEC.NCF file if it is not already present:

  44.     LOAD SNMP
  45.  
  46. 11. Press <Esc> to exit.
  47.  
  48. 12. Answer "Y" to save the edits to the AUTOEXEC.NCF file.

  50. 13. Press <Esc> to exit to the Main Installation menu.

  52. 14. Press <Esc> to exit the Installation NLM.

  54. 15. Bring down the server by typing the following commands:

  56.     DOWN
  57.     EXIT

  59. 16. Restart the server by typing the following command:

  72.  1. Make the directory SYS:SNMP_1 on the server as follows:

  82.     Note that the directory MUST be named SNMP_1.

  84.  2. Copy the files and subdirectories from the floppy 
  85.     diskette into the SYS:SNMP_1 directory, as follows:

  87.     XCOPY /S /A A:*.* Q:\SNMP_1
  88.  
  89.  3. Run RCONSOLE.

  91.  4. From the server console, type the following command:

  93.     LOAD INSTALL <Enter>
