  11. This version of MAP.EXE changes the way map rooted drives are
  12. handled. With the shipping NetWare v4.10 MAP.EXE, the current
  13. path of search drives mapped as root drives is not searched;
  14. rather, the root is always searched. This version allows the
  15. current path of a rooted search drives to be searched.

  33. SYMPTOM:

  35. With the shipping NetWare v4.10 MAP.EXE, the current path of
  36. search drives mapped as root drives is not searched; rather, the
  37. root is always searched. For example, if you
  38.  MAP ROOT S1:=SYS:\PUBLIC
  39.  then
  40.  CD SYS:PUBLIC\UTILS
  41.  the UTILS directory will not be searched. This is a result of
  42. the PATH statement being changed to PATH=Z:. (current directory)
  43. instead of PATH=Z:\ (root directory) as was the case in earlier
  44. versions of NetWare.

  51.  Note: The LOGIN.EXE which shipped with NetWare 4.10 handles map
  52. root drives as described above. If you want LOGIN.EXE to handle
  53. map root drives the same as the is version of MAP.EXE, download

  71. 1.  Replace the file MAP.EXE in the SYS:\LOGIN and SYS:\PUBLIC
  72.  directories with the new MAP.EXE file.

  74.   2.  Replace the file MAP.MSG in the SYS:\LOGIN\NLS\ENGLISH and
  75.  SYS:\PUBLIC\NLS\ENGLISH directories with the new MAP.MSG file.
