  11. JCON.EXE contains, JCONSOLE.EXE, a useful troubleshooting tool
  12. for NetWare Navigator 3.0.  (JCONSOLE.EXE is included with

  28. ISSUE:

  30. JCONSOLE.EXE (NetWare Job Console 2.0) is a useful
  31. troubleshooting tool to
  32.  examine and manipulate the NetWare Navigator queues.  Sometimes
  33. there are
  34.  problems with feedback that can be tracked down to problems with
  35. the queues or queue corruption.  NetWare Navigator uses the QMS
  36. or Queue Management System.
  37.  Navigator creates two queues for the distribution server and two
  38. queues for
  39.  the staging server. 
  40.  
  41.  For this example it is assumed that the distribution/Staging
  42. server is one server. 
  43.  
  44.  Run JCONSOLE, choose Job Queue Information.
  45.  The following NetWare Navigator queues are seen:
  46.  
  47.  ipxaddress_SFQ            Staging server feedback queue
  48.  ipxaddress_SMQ            Staging server management queue
  49.  NWSD_DIST_FDBK_QUEUE      Distribution server feedback queue
  50.  NWSD_DIST_JOB_QUEUE       Distribution server job queue
  51.  
  52.  Examine the _SFQ queue and choose the option for Job Queue
  53. Users.
  54.  The NETNAV group should be a member.
  55.  
  56.  The _SMQ queue should include NWSDSYS as a User.
  57.  
  58.  The FDBK_QUEUE should include NWSDSYS as a User.
  59.  
  60.  The JOB_QUEUE should include both NWSDSYS and the username who
  61. is designated to be the Administration Console Operator.

  79. Place the files in JCONEXE, on the server which has the NetWare
  80. Navigator queues to be examined.  Novell recommends placing these
  81. files in the SYSTEM directory.

  83.  To run JCONSOLE.EXE; login, as SUPERVISOR or equivalent, and run
  84. JCONSOLE.EXE from the SYSTEM directory.
