Print Queue Help Screen\hPurpose: Direct a print job to a specific print queue.\hOptions:
Queue=<print queue name> (abbreviated Q=)
Indicate to which print queue the print job
should be sent. There is no default print queue
set up unless you
specified a print queue in a print job
configuration. The <print queue name> should be
replaced with the name of the print queue, any
number of characters between 2 and 47.
Create Help Screen\hPurpose: To capture printer data to a network file
instead of a print queue.\hOptions:
Local=n (abbreviated L=)
Can be used in conjunction with the CReate option
to specify which port will be captured. Default is LPT1.
CReate=<network path/filename> (abbreviated CR=)
Use to send all captured data to a network
file.
Printer/Queue Help Screen\hPurpose: Direct a print job to a specific printer
or print queue.\hOptions:
Printer=<printer name> (abbreviated P=)
Indicate to which printer the print job should
be sent. Replace <printer name> with the name
of the printer. The print queue associated with
the printer will be used. If you want to know which
print queue will be used, include the Detail
option.

Indicate to which print queue the print job
should be sent.
There is no default set up unless you have created
a print job configuration.
The Printer and Queue options are mutually exclusive.
Server Help Screen\hPurpose: Direct a print job to a queue on a NetWare Bindery
server.\hOptions:
Server=<NetWare server name> (abbreviated S=)
Indicate the NetWare server to which data
should be sent for printing.
Banner Help Screen\hPurpose: Determine if a banner page will print at
the beginning of your print job. You can replace
the user name and LPT.\hOptions:
No Banner (abbreviated NB)
Specifies that no banner page be printed.

Specify text that will appear on the upper
part of the banner page.
Banner=<banner name> (abbreviated B=) Default is LPT.
Specify text that will appear on the lower
part of the banner page.
Replace <banner name> or <name> with up to 12
characters of text. Place quotes ("") around the
text if it contains spaces.
Copies Help Screen\hPurpose: Specify the number of copies to print.\hOptions:
Copies=<number> (abbreviated C=)
Use to indicate how many copies you want to
print. Replace <number> with the number of
copies (1 - 255). Default number of copies
is 1. This will be the number of copies
printed for each capture.
Form Help Screen\hPurpose: Specify a form to print on.\hOptions:
Form=<form> (abbreviated F=)
Specify the name or number of the form to
print your job on. Default is Form=0.
Form Feed Help Screen\hPurpose: Leave the printer ready to start the next
print job at the top of the next sheet of paper
after this print job is printed.\hOptions:
Form Feed (abbreviated FF)
If Form Feed is enabled, the printer starts
printing the next job at the top of the next
sheet of paper. However, if an application
places a form feed at the end of its output,
using this option causes an extra blank page to
be fed through. Default is Form Feed enabled.
No Form Feed (abbreviated NFF)
Include to disable form feed at the printer.
Print Job Help Screen\hPurpose: Specify the print job configuration to
use to print this print job.\hOptions:

Tabs=<number> (abbreviated T=)
If your printer does not interpret tabs,
specify the number of spaces between 1 and 18
to replace each tab in your print job.
No Tabs (abbreviated NT)
Include if your printer accepts tab characters
as part of a byte stream. This insures that
all tabs in your print job arrive at the
printer unchanged. Default is No Tabs.
Detail Help Screen\hPurpose: Request additional information about
printing parameters.\hOptions:
Detail (abbreviated D)
Include if you wish to verify that the
combination of command line options and print
job configuration options are producing the
desired effect. The Detail option also
clarifies which print queue is being used when
this might not otherwise be displayed.
Timeout Help Screen\hPurpose: Print from an application without exiting
to DOS.\hOptions:
TImeout=<seconds> (abbreviated TI=)
Include if you want to print from an
application without exiting the application.
Replace <seconds> with the number from 0 to
1000 inclusive. The TImeout option sends data
to the print queue a specified number of
seconds after the application last writes to
the port.
The default is 0 meaning that no timeout
occurs.
Show Help Screen\hPurpose: Display the current capture status of all
LPT ports.\hOptions:
SHow (abbreviated SH)
Use to view the current status of LPT ports.
SHow will indicate:
Whether they are captured.
Whether they are set to send data to a
network print queue or to a network file.
How the CAPTURE options are set.
Using the SHow option does not affect the
capture of an LPT port. You cannot use SHow
with other options.
Local Help Screen\hPurpose: Specify the LPT port to capture or end
capture.\hOptions:
Local=<port number> (abbreviated L=)
Can be included in order to specify the port
to be affected. Default is LPT1. The value of <port number> can
be a number between 1 and 9 inclusive. The
exception is in the End Capture (EC) option which allows
the ALL option to be used instead to indicate
that all LPT ports will have their captures
ended. The number of ports available to capture can be
specified by including the line
"NETWORK PRINTERS = <0-9>" in your NET.CFG file.
LPT1 - LPT9
These are alternate spellings of the Local
option which allow you to specify the port
number in a more meaningful way.
Keep Help Screen\hPurpose: Preserve data captured even though the
workstation hangs.\hOptions:
Keep (abbreviated K)
Include to insure that the NetWare server will
keep all data it receives from your
workstation if your workstation hangs or loses
power while you are capturing data to the
NetWare server. Use this option if you plan
to capture data over several hours.
Automatically End Capture Help Screen\hPurpose: Determine if separate print jobs will be
created each time the printer port is written to.\hOptions:
AUtoendcap (abbreviated AU)
Include if you want previously captured data
to begin printing when you exit or enter an
application. The default is Autoendcap set.
No Autoendcap (abbreviated NA)
Include to allow capture to continue
regardless of when you enter or exit an
application. Capture must then be ended
explicitly with the End Capture (EC) option.

same command line. If you are in Directory Services mode, specify either a
printer or a print queue. If you are in bindery mode, specify a print queue.
