  18. The HPT006 series is recommended for all HostPrint 1.1 sites, EXCEPT Netware
  19. 4.1 sites.  If HostPrint is on a Netware 4.1 server, please download
  20. HPT009.EXE instead.

  30. SYMPTOM
  31.  
  32. 1. CSCON unable to support a selection list of more than 50 print jobs when
  33. HostPrint is running on NetWare 4.0x.
  34.  
  35. 2. HPCONSOL crashed when more than 20 print jobs were defined.
  36.  
  37. 3. HPCONSOL would fail in large HostPrint environments due to size of buffer
  38. allocated to HPCONSOL.
  39.  
  40. 4. HPOBJECT failed when the NetWare server had the Accounting option installed
  41. and the Account Balance activated.
  42.  
  43. 5. An extra Form Feed and a PostScript error could be issued at the end of a
  44. HostPrint print job.
  45.  
  46. 6. PRINTCON was limited to 37 print job definitions.
  47.  
  48. 7. The server might ABEND in large Host Print environments due to the way Host
  49. Print was handling thread switching.
  50.  
  51. 8. When Host Print 1.1 was installed, SAACOPY was overwritten with an older
  52. version that doesn't provide the option to backup or restore profiles to/from
  53. DOS or Netware partitions.

  89. Installation Instructions:

  91. 1. Download HPT007.EXE.
  92.  
  93. 2. Download HPT008.EXE
  94.  
  95. 3. *IF* you are managing HostPrint with Netware for SAA Services Manager
  96. (SSM), (and have not already done so) download HPT004.
  97.  
  98. 4. *IF* you have a NetWare 3.11 server (and have not already done so) download
  99. HPT005.EXE.
  100.  
  101. 5. *IF* your NetWare for SAA is not, at least, v1.3.0, you must purchase an
  102. upgrade.
  103.  
  104. 6. *IF* you have a version of NetWare 1.3 below v1.3.42 (1.3B), you must
  105. upgrade (see PTF410.EXE).
  106.  
  107. 7. Further Instructions:
  108. A. If HostPrint 1.1 is installed on a NetWare 3.1x server follow the
  109. instructions in 3X.TXT.
  110.  
  111. B. If HostPrint 1.1 is installed on a NetWare 4x server follow the
  112. instructions in 4X.TXT.
  113.  
  114. Patch History:

  116. The HPT006 series supersedes HPT001, HPT002, and HPT003.

  118. Solution Specifics:
  119.  
  120. 1. CSCON will now support a selection list of more than 50 print jobs.
  121.  
  122. 2. HPCONSOL will now support more than 20 defined print jobs.
  123.  
  124. 3. HPCONSOL has increased buffer capacity to support the maximum field lengths
  125. in server, print server, print queue, and print job names.
  126.  
  127. 4. HPOBJECT will now support NetWare servers with Accounting installed and the
  128. Account Balance assigned.
  129.  
  130. 5. PRINTCON will now support more than 37 print jobs.
  131.  
  132. 6. PostScript jobs will now print without an extra form feed at the end of the
  133. job and without a PostScript error report to the printer.
  134.  
  135. 7. The new HOSTPRT.NLM handles thread switching, making it stable in large
  136. environments.
  137.  
  138. 8. The correct version of SAACOPY is now copied to the
  139. SYS:SYSTEM\NWSAA\SAACOPY subdirectory, restoring functionality of the updated
  140. SAACOPY.
