EXTENDED MEMORY (XME) AND BOOT PROM (XRE) JUMPERS
These jumpers (located near IOBA and MBA jumpers) indicate the
amount of buffer memory installed and if the card is equipped with
the optional boot PROM. All NI5210 products have at least 8K of memory and
a socket that is used either for the boot PROM or the additional 8K of
buffer memory. XME and XRE should be set as follows:
XME XRE
|-------|----------|
8K byte RAM installed: | B | not used |
|-------|----------|
16K byte RAM installed: | A | A |
|-------|----------|
Boot PROM installed: | A | B |

INTERRUPT REQUEST LEVEL JUMPER BLOCK
IRQ selections 2 through 7 are selected via the jumper labeled "IRQ"
2 3 4 5 6 7 Select the IRQ setting
* * * * * * by placing the jumper over the
IRQ * * * * * * appropriate pair.
==============================================
=========================
HOST TYPE
HOST TYPE selections are made as follows:
W27 |---------|
For IBM PC/XT or equivalent, ENABLE jumper w27: | * * |

STEP 2: INSTALLING THE DRIVER FILES FOR THE RACAL INTERLAN NI5210
1. Copy the E5210SH.LAN file to the SHGEN-1 diskette for "floppy
disk" method or to the SHGEN-1 sub-directory if you are using
"harddisk" or "network" method. It is a Shell driver description
file.
2. Copy the Operating System driver description file E5210OS.LAN to
the AUXGEN diskette for "floppy disk" method or to the AUXGEN
sub-directory if you are using "harddisk" or "network" method.
But if you are generating an External Bridge, the E5210OS.LAN file
should be copied to the BRGEN-1 diskette or the BRGEN-1
sub-directory.
3. For the "floppy disk" method a blank disk needs to be formated
and labeled. Use the DOS LABEL command to label the diskette
as LAN_DRV_003. If the "harddisk" or "network" method is being
used the a subdirectory under the NETWARE directory must be
created. Use the DOS MKDIR command to create the LAN_DRV_.003
subdirectory. Copy the *.OBJ files to either the labeled diskette
or subdirectory depending on which method is being used.
4. Run NETGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter
options to generate the file server operating system.
5. Run SHGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter
options to generate the workstation shell.
6. Run BRGEN and select the correct driver from the list of LAN adapter
options to generate the external bridge software.
