  43. SYMPTOM:

  45. For symptoms, review the file HISTORY.TXT.

  47.  New files for this release:
  48.  IBMBIO.COM - Several minor changes.
  49.  IBMDOS.COM - Several minor changes.
  50.  COMMAND.COM - Memory allocation issues fixed. Return error code
  51. from last program fixed
  52.  for DMAKE compatibility.
  53.  EMM386.EXE - XMS 3.0 functionality issues, Intel SatiFAXtion,
  54. UMB >F000 and Windows crash,
  55.  MEMMAX -V and /GATEA20 issues fixed.
  56.  HIMEM.SYS - XMS handles issues fixed.
  57.  DPMS.EXE - VCPI >8MB memory allocation, XMS 3.0 functionality
  58. issues fixed.
  59.  TASKMGR.EXE - XMS upper memory blocks, Network drive termination
  60. and LOCAL HANDLES
  61.  issues fixed.
  62.  MEMMAX.COM - MEMMAX +-V updates UMB root DOS internal variables
  63. correctly.
  64.  MEM.EXE - Using XMS 3.0 to determine free XMS on 386+
  65. processors.
  66.  KEYB.COM - Corrected Hungarian enhanced keyboard layout.
  67.  NLSFUNC.EXE - NLSFUNC was crashing on load when NCACHE2 was
  68. loaded before and both
  69.  were using HMA.
  70.  DISKCOPY.COM - Changes only serial number in extended boot
  71. record.
  72.  DISKCOMP.COM - No longer unnecessarily physically formats
  73. floppies.
  74.  FORMAT.COM - No longer physically formats floppies which have
  75. already the correct physical
  76.  format but had a different logical format before.
  77.  FDISK.COM -
  78.  DELPURGE.EXE - Last modified date reported now correctly when
  79. file was deleted while
  80.  DELWATCH was active.
  81.  UNDELETE.EXE - Last modified date now reported correctly when
  82. recovering file that was
  83.  deleted with DELWATCH active.
  84.  LOCK.EXE - LOCK /T:X pop-up now correct when the system is still
  85. active.
  86.  EDIT.COM - All subdirectory are displayed, not just those that
  87. matched file mask.
  88.  EXE2BIN.EXE - Several minor changes.

  139. Installation Instructions:

  141. Make a backup copy of each file being replaced before copying the
  142. new file
  143.  into that same directory.  The integrity of any file can be
  144. verified by
  145.  comparing the file's checksum with the checksum located in
  146. HISTORY.TXT.  To calculate the checksum of any file, use the
  147. Novell DOS 7 command XDIR <filename.ext> /C from the command
  148. line.
  149.  
  150.  Copy all files to the NWDOS directory except for IBMBIO.COM,
  151. IBMDOS.COM, and
  152.  COMMAND.COM.  Instructions for these three files are as follows:
