This is the disk driver for IBM AT or compatible machines that was shipped
with NetWare 286 versions prior to v2.15C. This driver solves a problem
that customers are having when they upgrade to v2.15C. Sometimes they
experience severe disk performance degradation if they have an internal
MFM controller with two drives attached to it.
To install this version of the disk driver:
1. Copy the ATDISK.DSK to your working copy of the AUXGEN diskette (or
AUXGEN directory if you are using the hard disk method). Copy the
ATDISK.OBJ file to the DSK_DRV_.001 diskette or directory.
2. Run Netgen -N. When selecting your network configuration a message will
be displayed asking if you want to replace the "IBM AT hard disk..." driver
with the "Industry Standard ISA..." driver. Answer NO. Then continue on
and pick the AT driver for your channel 0 disk driver along with the rest
of your network configuration.
3. Link the Operating System and also the File Server Utilities.
4. Install the NetWare Operating System on your file server.
