This is v2.22 ATALK AND ATALK2 VAPs. It resolves a problem with v2.2
NetWare for Macintosh. The ATALK and ATALK2.HLD files contained in this
package contain fixes for:
1. Correctly computing the Long DDP Checksum value for an extended DDP
header.
2. Properly responding to NBP Lookups when a zone name contains special
characters.
Installation of patched VAP(s):
(a) The two files that are contained with this patch are ATALK.HLD and
ATALK2.HLD. ATALK.HLD will be used for a Phase I AppleTalk network and
ATALK2.HLD for a Phase II net.
(b) To install the fix, login to the server as SUPERVISOR. Change
directories to SYS:\SYSTEM and enter the command DIR *.V??.
Find the appropriate ATALK VAP and copy the corresponding ATALK HLD file.
For example, ATALK2.VP5 exists in SYS:\SYSTEM. Copy A:\ATALK2.HLD
ATALK2.VP5 in SYS:\SYSTEM.
Note: There should be one ATALK (or ATALK2) for each configured AppleTalk
driver. Ensure that each ATALK VAP is replaced with the proper extension
with the patched VAPs contained in this package.
(c) Re-start the file server to re-load the VAPs. The version of patched
ATALK VAPs is: V2.22.
