  13. NDIR v4.25 (950714)PTF resolves problems when executing on a WFWG
  14. (Windows for WorkGroups) redirected drive and a number of
  15. disk/volume statistics using  /vol option.  It will work with all
  16. 4.x NetWare.

  34. SYMPTOM:

  37.  Using NDIR to search on a WFWG re-directed drive would result in
  38. the following error being returned:
  39.  
  40.  NDIR-4.10-913: The specified directory cannot be found.
  41.  
  42.  SYMPTOM
  43.  NDIR /vol would return incorrect numbers for the following:
  44.  Space used by X entries.
  45.  Space used if files were not compressed.
  46.  Space used by compressed files.
  47.  Space saved by compressing files.
  48.  
  49.  SYMPTOM
  50.  NDIR.EXE doesn't handle over 4GB dirs or vols
  51.

  53. SOLUTION: 
  54.  
  55. Apply the files found in 41NDIR.EXE
  56.  For volumes over 4GB NDIR will display KB instead of bytes when
  57. necessary.

  72. NOTE:  Always make a backup of applicable files before applying
  73. new fixes.

  75.  1)  Flag NDIR.EXE contained in the PUBLIC directory normal or
  76. sharable, read/write.  Flag NDIR.MSG contained in the
  77. PUBLIC/NLS/ENGLISH sub-directory normal or sharable, read/write.

  80.       FLAG NDIR.EXE N  -or-  FLAG NDIR.EXE S RW
  81.       FLAG NDIR.MSG N  -or-  FLAG NDIR.MSG S RW

  83.  2)  Rename NDIR.EXE contained in the PUBLIC directory to
  84. NDIR.ORG.  Rename NDIR.MSG in the PUBLIC/NLS/ENGLISH
  85. sub-directory to NDIRMSG.ORG. This is for backup purposes.

  87.  3)  Copy the NDIR.EXE provided with this update into the PUBLIC
  88. directory.  Copy NDIR.MSG provided with this update to the
  89. PUBLIC/NLS/ENGLISH sub-directory.

  91.  4)  Flag the new NDIR.EXE sharable, read only.  Flag the new
  92. NDIR.MSG sharable, read only.  IE.
