  17. This patch is intended for all versions of NetWare 2.2 or v2.15 for
  18. dedicated and non-dedicated servers.  The patch fixes the ABEND message
  19. "Stack overflow", which occurs if any DOS process has more than 25 files
  20. open when the server's operating system is shut down.

  56. This README file of 286DWN.EXE accompanies 22DOWN (for NetWare v2.2) and
  57. 215DOWN (for NetWare v2.15)
  58.

  60. Purpose/issue:
  61. This fix is intended for all versions of NetWare v2.2 or v2.15 for
  62. dedicated and non-dedicated servers. This patch fixes the ABEND message
  63. "Stack overflow" that occurs if any DOS process has more than 25 files open
  64. at the time the server is DOWNed.
  65.  
  66. This patch allocates more space so that the "stack overflow" ABEND does not
  67. occur at the time the server is downed, if there are 240 or less open files
  68. per process. With this patch, if the server is downed while files are open,
  69. the message "files still open, do you want to down the server?" will appear
  70. at the file server console.
