  73. ** Note: If WordPerfect is installed on a Network, consult your
  74. Network System Administrator before trying to install the new
  75. printer drivers.  Do not rename the printer files that end in
  76. ".ALL".  WP will ignore printer files that do not end in ".ALL". 
  77. WP will create printer driver files from information stored in
  78. the files ending in ".ALL".  The printer drivers created by WP
  79. will end in ".PRS".

  81. Instructions for Selecting a New Printer Driver.

  83. WordPerfect 5.1/5.1+ for DOS
  84.  
  85. 1)  Copy the *.ALL file that was extracted from the *.EXE file
  86. into the directory where your other *.ALL files are.  This is
  87. usually in the \WP51 directory if you selected the standard
  88. installation. 
  89.  
  90. 2)  Start WordPerfect 5.1/5.1+ for DOS.
  91.  
  92. 3)  From a blank screen press Shift+F7, S for Select and 2 for
  93. Add.  
  94.  
  95. 4)  Highlight your printer and choose 1 for select.  
  96.  
  97. 5) Press Enter to verify the filename.
  98.  
  99. 6) Once the fonts are updated, Press F7 to exit and follow the
  100. the prompts on your screen.

  102. ** Note:  If you are not sure where the printer drivers are
  103. located, you will want to start WordPerfect 5.1 for DOS, press
  104. Shift+F1, 6 for Location of Files and write down the path next to
  105. the Printer Files option. If there is not a path listed, the
  106. default directory is \WP51.  Press F7 once to Exit.  From this
  107. point, you will then follow steps 1-6 above.

  110. WordPerfect 5.1/5.2/5.2+ for Windows
  111.  
  112. 1)  Copy the *.ALL file that was extracted from the *.EXE file
  113. into the directory where your other *.ALL files are. This is
  114. usually the shared code directory, \WPC, if you selected the
  115. standard installation.

  117. 2)  Start WPWin 5.2 by clicking on the appropriate icon in the
  118. Windows Program Manager.

  120. 3)  From the main document screen, click on the File menu,
  121. choose Select Printer.

  123. 4)  Select WordPerfect to specify that you want to use a
  124. WordPerfect printer driver

  126. 5)  Choose Add

  128. 6) Select Additional Printers (*.ALL) to create a new printer
  129. driver (.PRS) from the .ALL file.

  131. 7) Choose Ok to confirm the filename and follow the on-screen
  132. prompts.

  135. ** Note:  If you are not sure where the printer drivers are
  136. located, you will want to start WordPerfect 5.2 for Windows,
  137. click File, Preferences. Write down the default directory on the
  138. line titled Printer Files.  If there is not a path listed, the
  139. default directory is \WPC.  Click on OK to close.  From this
  140. point, you will then follow steps 1-7 above.
