  1. SETDSK_TXT extracted from UPDATE on 31 October 1994

  3.      Purpose: SETDSK is used to set the head step and tracks for the
  4.               FLOPPY controllers.  This command will <not> work with the
  5.               HFDC.  Refer to the HFDC user's manual for proper switch setting.
  6.  
  7.      Usage:
  8.           
  9.           SETDSK [drive number][head step][tracks]
  10.  
  11.             [drive number] is from 1 to 4 and is valid ONLY for floppy
  12.                            only controllers.
  13.           
  14.             [head step]    is from 0 to 3.  Vary settings, "usually" 0
  15.                            for optimal performance, but depends upon 
  16.                            floppy type.
  17.           
  18.             [tracks]       valid numbers are 4 or 8 to indicate 40 or
  19.                            80 tracks respectively.

  22.             Examples:

  24.                SETDSK 104  sets drive 1, head step 0, 40 tracks
  25.                SETDSK 228  sets drive 2, head step 2, 80 tracks
  26.                SETDSK 308  sets drive 3, head step 0, 80 tracks

  31.                Must leave only one space between command and options and
  32.                you must not separate the numbers or error report will
  33.                follow.

  35.    WARNING-->  SETDSK parameters are LOST after a WARM BOOT until
  36.                re entered.
