  4. HardMaster is the most capable hard disk sector editor ever produced for the
  5. Myarc HFDC. A sophisticated program with a powerful command line interface
  6. (a la Advanced Diagnostics), HardMaster is oriented towards finding your
  7. data, not just your file headers. It features a powerful editor that will
  8. let you edit a sector in hex or ASCII, a Quad-Editor that will
  9. let you edit 4 sectors at once, the ability to dump a range of sectors to
  10. printer in both ASCII and hex, a directory function that lists the sectors
  11. a files header and data occupy, a powerful Search function that will search
  12. by both a string or a hex number, a Tree function that produces a tree-like
  13. listing of all your directories and their associated files with sector
  14. information for each, the ability to dump the bitmap or sector allocation
  15. table to a printer, and much more!

  17. HardMaster is for the serious hard disk user, and requires some knowledge of
  18. disk mechanics (you shouldn't use a sector editor anyway if you don't know
  19. what a sector is!).

  21. HardMaster comes with an extensive manual that describes not only the program
  22. but gives extensive information not found in the HFDC manual on how hard drives
  23. store data.  As an additional bonus, HardMaster includes free a novel hard-disk
  24. backup utility that provides a handy alternative to MDM V.

  27. you repair a file, or recover a directory.
