>>>NEW PRODUCT RELEASES
ARTIST FONT MAKER
Despite the fact that TI-Artist has been available for over 5 years, there
is still no easy way to create custom fonts for use with this program or
the large number of programs compatible with TI-Artist fonts. That is,
until now.
Asgard Software is pleased to announce Artist Font Maker, by Jim Reiss
and Asgard Software. With this utility creating a new font is as simple as
doodling with your favorite drawing program. That's because the first step
in creating a font with this utility is to use your favorite drawing
program to draw the new font. Then, using this program, you "clip" each
letter and save it as part of an existing or new font file. It's as simple as
that! You can take advantage of all the speed, drawing tools and modes of
your favorite drawing program while drawing your font, simply leaving a
little space between each character on the screen, and then save the
picture and load it into Artist Font Maker. Once loaded you simply place a
box around each character, press a key, and tell this utility what letter of
the font you just clipped. No limiting drawing areas, no "sprite editor"
interface - just create!
With Artist Font Maker you have complete freedom in creating a font -
each character can be up to the size of a screen and you can have as many
screens in a font as you like. The only limit to your typography is your
imagination.
Requires 32K, disk and the Editor/Assembler module. Suggested retail
$9.95.
PAGE PRO SIDEWAYS PICTURE PRINTER
This wonderful little utility, by Chris Bobbitt, allows you to print any
Page Pro picture sideways on your Epson or compatible printer.
While this might not seem profound, the results certainly are! The user
can select one of four different print resolutions and a variety of vertical
and horizontal enlargements for interesting effects. When combined with
the set of Page Pro 99 templates and art-work included, this little utility
is perfect for creating certificates, signs (up to 3 pages wide!), and even
sideways calendars quickly and easily. You can even create two-page
newsletters ready to be sent to the printers!
A speedy program - Sideways Picture Printer is well tested and simple to
use. A thorough manual is included explaining step-by-step how to use
this utility for different applications.
Requires an Epson or compatible printer and either a TI-99/4A with
Extended BASIC or Editor/Assembler, 32K and a disk system, or a Geneve.
Includes both a TI-99/4A and a Geneve M-DOS version. Suggested retail
$12.95.
TOURNAMENT SOLITAIRE
Asgard Software is pleased to announced the release of Tournament
Solitaire, by William Reiss. This package is a collection of not one but
seven popular variations of Solitaire, including: Golf, Pyramid,
Klondike, Canfield, Calculation, Pile Up and Corners. No other
such collection of different versions of this favorite past-
time is available elsewhere.
Each of these games can be played individually, or one after the
other in a tournament where the score from one is passed onto the
next. Fast game-play and well-defined graphics mean youUll never
have to wait for the computer or try to figure out what your hand
is. Keep high scores in the game and compete with yourself or your
friends.
Tournament Solitaire includes a lengthy manual along with game hints.
Some knowledge of Solitaire is recommended. It requires Extended BASIC,
32K and a disk system.
An excellent package for the Solitaire fan. Suggested retail $14.95.

>>>EVENTS
ASGARD TO DEMO MIDI MASTER AT CHICAGO TI FAIRE
After a long wait, Michael Maksimik and Christopher Bobbitt of Asgard
expect to demonstrate the new MIDI MASTER TI-99/4A and Geneve 9640
MIDI interface and software at the Chicago TI Faire on November 3rd.
Somewhat more sophisticated then originally planned, MIDI MASTER
supports up to 16 simultaneous polyphonic channels on multiple MIDI
devices - enough music capability to handle a small band arrangement on
your home computer - and comparable or superior to MIDI systems
available for other computers at a fraction of the price.
MIDI MASTER will feature a sophisticated "Sequencer", which is a program
to record on the computer music played on a keyboard, and then later allow
you to play it back; a "Patch Librarian" which allows you to modify the
internal settings of MIDI devices, and an Editor and Compiler that allows
you to create MIDI music files from sheet music and turn them into music
data for MIDI keyboards and other devices. The MIDI Master Compiler is
compatible with IBM "Cakewalk" format MIDI files, and hence a library of
thousands of songs and special effects is available for the immediate
enjoyment and use of musicians and non-musicians alike.
MIDI MASTER will be distributed in two forms: a TI-99/4A version on
cartridge that contains all the basic software, and the ability to take
advantage of RAM-disk memory for internal note storage; and a Geneve
9640 version that takes advantage of some of the capabilities of that
machine. Both versions will be functionally identical.
