- SCIBAX DEMO ACADEMY
- Coded and Designed by Live Fire of Scibax
- Released on January 1, 1994
-
- Here is the package, and this is one of the best tutorials that I have
- seen out, and why? I designed it to what I had to go through when I was
- learning to code, and simplified it all into a package for you.
-
- There are 9 lessons in the entire package. All are menu driven with loaders
- that include graphics, and music while viewing each lesson.
-
- I tell you the "How to do" process in such things as:
-
- Displaying Logos
- Displaying Character Sets
- Displaying Sprites/Creating Sprites and Ripping Sprites
- Implementing Sprite Sinuses
- Composing/Ripping/ and Playing Music
- Horizontal Text Scroller
- Raster Bars/Rolling Raster Bars
- Animating Character Font Text
- Implementing Files into memory
-
- You will use a range of utilities such as:
-
- Turbo Assembler
- Monitor $8000
- Sprite Ripper
- Music Ripper
- Music Composer(Voice Tracker + Docs)
- Music Analyzer
- Sprite Editor
- Final Sinus Maker
- EB Edit 3.0 (Creates Ansi Text)
- Character 1x1 font Creater
- Logo Editor by Cenaturi
-
- and more.
-
- Not only do you get instruction from the lesson, but you get source code
- that is VERY WELL exlpained and commented.
-
- You get 2 demos in compacted and uncompacted form that demonstrate everything
- that the lessons cover.
-
- Source File for Source Code names are:
-
- Scibax Demo 1 _Intro -complete demo code
- Scibax Demo 2 _Test your knowledge
- IRQ Source Setup
- Rasterbar Source Code
-
- You get some extra notes that cover Operands and the Microprocessor.
-
- You get 5 runable demos that I coded, and you get the source code with those.
- I included 5 voicetracker tunes for you to use as well.
-
- With Scibax Demo 1 you get all the files on disk that I used and created,
- so you may use the utilities to load them up and view them, and follow the
- instructions from the lessons to implement into a demo.
-
- I feel that this is the best demo tutorial that you will find, with
- explanantion and extensive help. This is the first level of Assembly Language
- coding for the C64, and this will give you the start you will need to later
- design future software such as applications or demos for yourself or others.
-
- I want to see more coders out on the Commodore Scene, and so this is my way
- of giving back to the SCENE. I am positive that you will be demo coding when
- you complete this package if you put effort into it.
