Certainly. Chuck Forsberg referred in recent postings to "public domain"
zmodem. This is any release about 1.36 (08-31-87) or earlier, which many
sites still carry. For example:
Host ftp.uu.net
Location: /networking/terms
FILE -rw-r--r-- 59565 Jul 2 1992 zmodem.tar.Z
Host rascal.ics.utexas.edu
Location: /misc/unix
FILE -rw-r--r-- 56861 Mar 28 1989 zmodem.tar.Z
The code is robust and effective, IMHO.
