Errata:
The following are corrections to the Help file that is shipped with WebQuest95.
1. For the most up to date information about SSI+ refer to www.questar.com/ssi.htm,
2. Updates and announcements about WebQuest95 refer to www.questar.com/wq95.htm,
3. The SSI+ Introduction has the following line: "'<--#' is the opening identifier,
a SSI token always starts with this.", the opening identifier is actually: '<!--#'.
4. The SSI+ CGI interface as described under "Features" has not been shipped with this product.
***Memory Leak.
We have found a memory leak in ODBC. We have consulted with Microsoft, and they've
confirmed it. This means that EVERYONE using ODBC will experience this leak. It is
not a leak in WebQuest. The implications are that if your site has heavy ODBC traffic,
the server sould be periodically re-cycled.
Microsoft says they are working on a fix, and we will be notified as soon as it's available.
***URLs with bookmarks will always show up as broken links in WebMeister.
This will be fixed in the next release.
***Directory names with periods in them
Given the URL "http://your.domain.com/directory.dir" where "directory.dir" is a directory name,
WebQuest will not automatically look for the default filename. If browsing has not been enabled,
this URL will return FILE NOT FOUND. If browsing has been enabled, and this is a valid
directory, WebQuest will return a directory listing. To access any files in this directory,
you must explicitly request the file. This holds true if "directory.dir" appears anywhere
within the URL, like "http://your.domain.com/directory.dir/subdir" or
"http://your.domain.com/subdir/directory.dir".
NOTE: If the base directory of the webspace (the one set in WebMeister) contains a period,
it will still function normally.
