StreamWorks XWindows client (Xnetview) Beta2.0 release notes:
Current Known bugs:
Beta 2.0: build 202
Bugs:
- During 'seeking' video frame corruption occurs on the first couple of video frames.
status - minor annoyance
- The video exposure is not regulated. This produces a 'jerky' effect on low-bandwidth video
streams which are able to be decoded at a high frame-rate.
status - minor annoyance
- User Button colors. The user buttons released in the current distribution were not converted
Xpm files to meet the requirements of xnetview. Because of this, the buttons will not remain in a
'pushed' state. The buttons will also not have any 'transparency' about them. This can be fixed by
simply replacing the button color definitions with the appropriate names. See the 'xing' button for
examples of correct color definition.
status - minor annoyance
- Configuration dialogs: The 'ok' button will save the config settings to the config file. This is
inefficent and produces a slight hang in the program. This will be fixed in the future.
status - minor annoyance
- Video frame dropping is not optimized. This produces large ammounts of frames to be dropped at
once and has a 'skipping' effect in the video.
status - major annoyance
- GUI responsiveness. The GUI is not very responsive when decoding video. This produces difficulty in
button presses being registered. The video frame slider does not always register either. The frame
slider usually moves, however the cursor does not change to a 'clock' designating priming.
