  1. This document describes how version numbers are handled within TULP.
  2. Should this help you have upgrade processes as easy as possible.
  3. At the end of this document, you'll find the history of the releases.

  11. Patchlevel
  12.  
  13.         Count up the patchlevel number to distinguish between the
  14.         various releases.  This is important so we can tell if the
  15.         problem someone is experiencing is already supposed to be
  16.         fixed in his/her version.

  18. New minor features
  19.  
  20.         Count up with new features that will not need anything to be
  21.         changed in configuration.  New features in this class should
  22.         have the old behaviour as default.  Anyone can upgrade at this
  23.         level without needing to change any files.

  25. Major features and rewrites
  26.  
  27.         Count up with such new functionality and features that require
  28.         changes in any of the configuration files.  This includes all
  29.         the list configuration files and MTA files (like sendmail.cf,
  30.         aliases, etc).
