  1. Your rolodex is already in use!

  3. Either someone else is using and possibly modifying your rolodex, or else
  4. you forgot to exit a previous use of your rolodex, or possibly the system
  5. crashed while you were using your rolodex the last time.
  6.  
  7. You can find out who is using your rolodex by typing
  8.  
  9. DIR/OWN SYS$LOGIN:ROLODEXDATA.LOCK
  10.  
  11. The last item on the line will be [GROUP,OWNER], where OWNER is the login
  12. of the person owning the lock file.  If the login is not yours, then you
  13. should find out what that person is doing with your rolodex and ask
  14. him/her to let you know when they are finished.
  15.  
  16. If the name is your own, then it is probably safe to remove the lock file.
  17. (It is possible that someone else is logged in as you, however...)
  18. Type
  19.  
  20. DEL SYS$LOGIN:ROLODEXDATA.LOCK;*
  21.  
  22. and then you can use your rolodex.
