  3. What does POSIX mean when for grep -s it says to suppress the error
  4. messages ordinarily written for nonexistent or unreadable files.

  6. I assume that unreadable means AT LEAST files whose permissions are not
  7. such that would allow me to read.  But what about things like EISDIR?
  8. This is an error which returns indicating that one is not permitted to
  9. read the file - correct?  May I have grep -s suppress this message as
  10. well?
