  3. I'm trying to map the functionality of a specific DOS application to 
  4. Posix system calls.  Even with the Posix.1 standard in front of me, I 
  5. haven't been able to figure out two things:

  7. 1.    How does one set the terminal up to use raw I/O, so that characters
  8.     don't echo when entered?
  9.  
  10. 2.    How does one find out the amount of space available on a device, 
  11.     specifically free space on an hard drive?
