  3.     there is a meeting in denver at the airport
  4. stouffer hotel to discuss current and future work on
  5. volume labels and file system structures for disks
  6. and tapes. this covers standards like the ANSI tape
  7. standard and the CD-ROM format. currently, representatives
  8. from ISO, ECMA, ANSI X3 and IEEE committees plan to attend.
  9. the emphasis of the meeting, particularly the first day,
  10. is to discuss extant and anticipated needs for format standards.

  12.     we would like to encourage people with an interest
  13. in such standards to attend (particularly if you normally
  14. wouldn't attend standards meetings). although the meeting
  15. is scheduled for three days (Mon-Wed, 15-17 Feb), it would
  16. still be useful to attend for one day - Monday Feb 15.
