  10. Isn't this a rather narrow subject for a POSIX standard... not to mention
  11. being pretty much covered by two completely irreconcilable models (BSD
  12. and System V).

  14. You're going to have to dump BSD spooling, dump System V spooling, or
  15. dump both and create something out of whole cloth. If it's the latter,
  16. why not create a generalised batch queueing and scheduling system that
  17. just happens to include printing?
