  3. Would someone describe the state of the current standards effort for 
  4. NLS(native language support).

  6. Is there a standard or a developing standard?  Are multi-byte character sets
  7. or unicode systems being adopted.

  9. Are vendors jumping the gun and will we have a number of different solutions?
  10.  
  11. Will application code still be required to declare character strings
  12. as wchar_t or would implementations, using unicode, simple make a char[]
  13. type declaration use 16 bit characters.
