- You may wind up spending a lot more supporting the different floppy
- formats. It's been my experience that the floppy formatting is
- different on different systems, and floppies are not suitable for data
- interchange. My experience has been on using SCO UNIX 386, SunOS 4.1.1
- and MIPS RISCOS 4.52.

- Sun and SCO also support commands to format floppies in DOS format,
- which is different from their UNIX formats.

- The 1/4" 150MB QIC tape format is standardized and works across all
- platforms.
