  12. POSIX.2, Annex B, though it does contain C functions, is not currently
  13. part of 9945-1, but rather 9945-2.  However, there is a proposal on
  14. the floor to move that part of POSIX.2 into POSIX.1 and POSIX.16.
  15. (The C interfaces would go into POSIX.16.  The not-yet-written 
  16. language-independent versions would go into POSIX.1.)  As I understand
  17. it (don't take my word for this), those C functions would then become
  18. part of 9945-1.
