  8. We have discussed it and we would prefer a solution based on a
  9. classification of admissible characters in the locale.

  11. We see that there might be problems with it, such as security
  12. problems, that must be adressed in a solution. Doug Gwyn has
  13. called the international characters in identifiers "a can of worms"
  14. and I would appreciate if he or others would describe what problems
  15. they want to be addressed in such a proposal. Either post to
  16. the list, or mail me, and I will summarize.
