- I agree that the buyer should beware, and indeed the historical difference
- between UNIX-like operating systems and vendor proprietary offerings is
- the ease with which different functions are used - often to the possible
- detriment of the user. But I firmly believe that POSIX is going to have
- to smooth out some of those rough edges if it is going to continue to
- penetrate the markets that are increasingly occupied by "novices" who
- don't speak English.
