This conference was held in March 1991.  Videotapes, audio
tapes, and transcriptions are available for many of its
presentations.  Quoting from the conference brochure:

the Special Interest Group on Communications (SIGCOMM) of
the Association for Computing Machinery (ACM).  Submissions

ISTE: International Symposium on Telecommunications in
Education

The International Symposium on Telecommunications in
Education (ISTE) is held annually in the summer by the
International Council for Computers in Education (ICCE).

The Electronic Networking Association (ENA) holds an annual
spring conference on uses of conferencing systems and
networks.  Unlike most conferences related to networking,
this one is organised by the users, and most of the users
involved use conferencing systems, not academic networks.

IETF: Internet Engineering Task Force

The IETF is a task force of the IAB (Internet Activities
Board).  They hold meetings four times per year. Most
meetings have working group breakout sessions, working group
status reports, and technical presentations. Working groups
handle activities like routing, domains, performance, and
network management.

The output of the NIST Workshop for Implementors of OSI
(OIW) is a pair of aligned documents, one representing
Stable Implementation Agreements (SIA), the other containing
Working Implementation Agreements (WIA) that have not yet
gone into the stable document.  Material is in either one or
the other of these documents, but not both, and the
documents have the same index structure.  Tim Boland has a
document detailing sources for the above documents as well
as GOSIP documents.

RIPE: Reseaux IP Europ'eens

RIPE is the TCP/IP component of EUnet. Technical meetings
are held three times a year for three days each. The
meetings are divided between plenary sessions and task force
sessions.
