  3. I hate to point this out but the 4-entry utimbuf is a Motorola 
  4. invention.  The microseconds fields were added as part of the 88open 
  5. BCS [over the objections of some members of the committee] as an 
  6. "extension".

  8. It was this extension that got POSIX.1a to declare that the struct 
  9. utimbuf must contain ONLY the members indicated.  The 88open ABI goes 
  10. back to the SVID compatible, POSIX conforming 2 member structure.
