  9. A workshop will be held September 6, 1990 to discuss the proposed
  10. Federal  Information  Processing  Standard for POSIX Commands and
  11. Utilities.  The proposed FIPS  is  based  on  Draft  9  of  POSIX
  12. 1003.2.   The workshop will explain the contents of POSIX 1003.2,
  13. the exclusions specified in the FIPS proposal,  and  the  use  of
  14. FIPS  in  Federal  procurements.    Comments on the proposed FIPS
  15. will be solicited.  The workshop is open to all  interested  par-
  16. ties.  Both Federal agency personnel and vendors implementing PO-
  17. SIX systems are encouraged to attend.
