  3. Since I posted a note on comp.std.unix about the Standards BOF in Anaheim,
  4. I've gotten some requests as to what else is scheduled in Anaheim, and a
  5. request to crosspost to comp.org.usenix.

  7. So, this message is crossposted to comp.org.usenix and comp.std.unix.
  8. Details of the technical conference program and the tutorial schedule
  9. have been posted to comp.org.usenix very recently, so please look there
  10. for them; I trust someone (Lisa?  Judy?) will soon post a BOF list.

  12. Ah, yes:  a BOF is a Birds of a Feather meeting, i.e., an informal
  13. gathering outside of the formal technical agenda, traditionally for
  14. two hours in the evening.  Experience has shown that the Standards
  15. BOF works best immediately after the reception, so that's when this
  16. one is scheduled.  The only related competition seems to be from
  17. OSF, who cleverly scheduled their BOF at the same time.

  21. There will be a Standards BOF at the Summer USENIX Conference in Anaheim,
  22. California, on Wednesday, 13 June, from 8-10PM.  This is immediately
  23. after the main conference reception.

  25. All are invited.  Someone will write a snitch report on the BOF for
  26. posting in this newsgroup.

  30.

  36.     Recent developments in UNIX-Related Standards, such as
  37.     IEEE 1003.[01][0-9], IEEE 1201, ISO/IEC JTC1 SC22 WG15,
  38.     NIST FIPS, SIGMA, X3J11, and the UniForum Technical Committees.
  39.     What USENIX has been doing about them, what we plan on doing,
  40.     and what you want us to do.
