- The title 'bout says it all.
-
- Now that there is an ANSI C standard for C, are there any plans for a
- publically available C validation suite.
-
- I believe that you may obtain validation suites from the government for
- FORTRAN. COBOL, and Ada. Why not C?
-
- I'm not really up on what the government does most of the time, but isn't
- there something called a Federal Information Processing Standard (FIPS)
- that says in detail what sort of UNIXes the government whats to buy from
- now on? If so, is there sort sort of validation process by which UNIXes
- are certified to conform? If so, is there any testing of C compilers
- done as part of the overall UNIX conformance testing?
