  5.    I note that at that time the BOM files resided in /usr/lib, and
  6. the structure seemed limited to vendor-provided utilities, not
  7. "layered products" or third-part products.  And I note that the 
  8. System V "install" procedures seem directed toward vendor-provided
  9. utilities.

  11.   Has any consideration been taken of the large (indeed, **very** large)
  12. number of third-party products that one would normally install using
  13. a common mechnaism, but in a non-system directory hierarchy.
