  4. Computing today are overwhelmed with the issue of standards.  Every
  5. commercial and research products are concern whether their product meets
  6. the industry or defacto standard.

  8. I am trying to collect information hoping to do a write-up (if its not
  9. already available) that provide a complete view of the STANDARDS
  10. documents (today and the future) and the organization(s) that are involved in
  11. defining/developing/promoting the STANDARDS.  Among the information that I
  12. need are:

  14.     1.) Existing (and to be established) bodies or organization that are
  15.         involved in STANDARD(S), including:
  16.  
  17.             a. Members of the organization
  18.             b. Organization Structure and Operations
  19.             c. Process for producing the STANDARD documents
  20.             d. Success/Failure 
  21.             e. Future Plans
  22.  
  23.     2.) The relationship of all these organizations/bodies
  24.  
  25.     3.) The relationship of the STANDARDS
  26.  
  27.     4.) Opinions on this issue
