  14. Expo@Detroit is a conference and trade show designed to attract an
  15. impressive array of attendees - users and developers, buyers and 
  16. distributors. This highly concentrated forum features:

  18.     Vendor exhibits and product demonstrations
  19.     Market and industry oriented conference sessions
  20.     Intensive all-day technical tutorials on UNIX and related topics
  21.  
  22. A large number of people from southeastern Michigan and surrounding areas
  23. will be invited to participate in this exposition, and these conferences,
  24. and tutorials looking for the latest in UNIX, hardware and software 
  25. technology.

  27. The Expo@Detroit Technical Conference and Exhibition will
  28. be held September 13 - 14, 1988 at the Southfield Civic Center
  29. in Southfield, Michigan. The event is sponsored by michigan!/usr/group,
  30. the local affiliate of the UNIX trade association, /usr/group. 
  31. Michigan!/usr/group is a non-profit, vendor independent organization
  32. dedicated to the promotion of UNIX, and its related  products and
  33. services, thru the exchange of information among participants in the
  34. UNIX industry.

  36. The product exhibition will feature products such as mainframe,
  37. mini, and microcomputer systems, applications and system software,
  38. database systems, communications and network systems, peripheral
  39. computer equipment, educational services, and books and periodicals.

  41. Expo@Detroit will also offer a program of intensive UNIX
  42. full-day tutorials, including subjects such as 
  43.  
  44.     Introductory C Programming
  45.     Advanced C Programming
  46.     Shell Programming
  47.     System Administration
  48.     UUCP and Networking
  49.  
  50. Two days of conference sessions will take place in conjuction with
  51. the exposition. Conferences will be half day sessions with several
  52. presentations regarding specific topics. These presentations will be
  53. delivered by a wide spectrum of users (GM, Ford, etc), vendors (DEC,
  54. Sun, AT&T, Apollo, Pyramid, Prime, etc.) and consultants (Williams
  55. International, etc.). Topics will include:
