I just got a letter from someone asking about the sudden "reposting" of
messages from May and June. For the benefit of those of you who haven't been
keeping up with the traffic in news.admin, I will explain.
There is a *net-wide* re-propagation of news going on for some reason. The
various Usenet "major" site admins are attempting to track it down; in the
meantime, old messages are showing up in all newsgroups. We'll all have to
bear with it until the "time warp" is found and eliminated. Archivers, take
note -- beware of repeat messages.
