  1. CALENTOOL - Version 2.1

  4. N.B.: This version of calentool uses a slightly different format
  5. for the .appointments file.  See the notes in INSTALL concerning how to
  6. automatically convert from the old format to the new format.

  9. Calentool is a day/week/month/year-at-glance tool for Sun Workstations.
  10. The windowed display interface uses the new style SunView (1.0) functions
  11. (as opposed to the original suntool stuff), as it was too hard to figure
  12. out how to make the desired changes using the old suntool stuff.  If
  13. you're not running SunView, there is an older version with much less
  14. functionality (available on request).

  16. One can view a single day's appointments and notes, a weeks worth (with
  17. abbreviated messages), a month at a time (with appointment flags) or a year
  18. at a time (with appointment flags).  Alternate appointment files can be
  19. specified to allow checking other users' schedules.

  21. Recurring appointments (e.g every Monday or every 1st & 3rd Tuesday),
  22. as well as a reminder of future appointments are available.

  24. Interesting information about the sun and moon is also available for viewing.

  30. This program was originally written by Philip Heller of Sun Microsystems,
  31. but has had numerous bug fixes and enhancements made by Bill Randle of
  32. Tektronix and other users.  [I'm not sure Phil would recognized it any
  33. more :-).]

  35. It has been tested on a 3/60 OS 3.5, a 386i OS 4.?, a 3/60 OS 4.0 and
  36. perhaps others.
