  83. <h1>Create a PIN and Authenticate with the PIN Only</h1>
  84. <p>If your token requires a PIN, you normally create your PIN during your 
  85.  first RSA SecurID authentication. </p>
  86. <p>Use the following procedure if your VPN client application requests 
  87.  only a PIN. Your user name is normally the user name that you use to log 
  88.  on to your desktop.</p>
  89. <p class=Note><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Note: </B></span>If your VPN 
  90.  client prompts for a user name and passcode, you must use both the SecurID 
  91.  desktop application and the VPN client to create your PIN. Open the desktop 
  92.  application. If the Enter PIN screen is displayed, see <a href="firsttimeauth_pinscreen.htm">Create 
  93.  a PIN and Authenticate with a Passcode (Enter PIN Screen)</a>. If the 
  94.  Tokencode screen is displayed, see <a href="firsttimeauth_tokencodescreen.htm">Create 
  95.  a PIN and Authenticate with a Passcode (Tokencode Screen)</a>.</p>
  96. <p><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>To complete first-time authentication 
  97.  to a VPN client that requests a PIN:</B></span> </p>

  101.  field, enter the user name that your administrator assigned.</p></li>

  103.  type <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>0000</B></span> (four zeros), and click 
  104.  <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>OK</B></span>. <br>
  105.     You are prompted to create a PIN. </p></li>

  107.     Enter the PIN in the format your administrator specified. Be sure to
