  85. <h1>Create a PIN and Authenticate with a Passcode (Enter PIN Screen)</h1>
  86. <p>If your token requires a PIN, you normally create your PIN during your 
  87.  first RSA SecurID authentication. </p>
  88. <p>Use the following procedure if the SecurID desktop application displays 
  89.  the Enter PIN screen and your VPN client application requests a passcode 
  90.  (or a PIN and tokencode).</p>
  91. <p class=Note><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Note: </B></span>Your user name 
  92.  is normally the user name that you use to log on to your desktop. </p>
  93. <p class="whs3">To complete first-time authentication:</p>
  94. <ol type="1" class="whs4">
  95.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">Start 
  96.  the SecurID desktop application.<br>
  97.     The Enter PIN screen is displayed.</p></li>
  98.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">Connect 
  99.  to your VPN client.<br>
  100.     You are prompted for a user name and passcode.</p></li>
  101.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">In 
  102.  the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Username</B></span> field, enter the 
  103.  user name that your administrator assigned.</p></li>
  104.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">In 
  105.  the SecurID desktop application, click the right arrow button. (Leave 
  106.  the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Enter PIN</B></span> field blank.)<br>
  107.     A tokencode is displayed.</p></li>
  108.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">Click 
  109.  the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Copy</B></span> button to copy the tokencode.</p></li>
  110.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">Return 
  111.  to the VPN client and paste the tokencode into the <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Passcode</B></span> 
  112.  field. Click <span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>OK</B></span>.</p></li>
  113.     <li style=" font-weight: normal; " class=p><p class="whs5">Follow 
  114.  the prompts to create and confirm your PIN.<span style="font-weight: normal;"><br>
  115.     Use the PIN format that your administrator specified. Memorize your 
  116.  PIN. After you create your PIN, the VPN client prompts for a new passcode.</span></p></li>

  118.  to the SecurID desktop application, and wait for the tokencode to change.

  120.  the </span><span style="font-weight: bold;"><B>Re-Enter PIN</B></span><span style="font-weight: normal;"> 
  121.  button to open the Enter PIN screen.</span></p></li>
